Landscape and Archaeology Research Group
The principal research aim is the creation of tridimensional patterns of archaeological sites and their surroundings, while maintaining the accuracy afforded by traditional cartographic documents.
The prototypes are developed by linking the archaeological sites to national and international geodesic networks.
One the site data representing the topography of the site and surroundings has been obtained, bi- and tridimensional “cartographic documents” are developed, from DTM to hyper-realistic virtual representations of the excavation.
Finally multimedia prototypes are designed using author-software, which enables the entire archaeological phenomenon to be integrated within the cultural heritage.
